Using a microfiber dust cloth to capture dust mites. This is more beneficial than using an old rag or t-shirt. Microfiber dusters come in various shapes and lengths for reaching blinds and ceiling fans. If you do not use microfiber, dampen your cloth. This makes picking up dust a breeze.

Change your furnace filter. Believe it or not---this should be done monthly to every three months. Probably on your way to the hardware store right now, aren’t you?

Declutter items that pick up more dust. Things like books, textiles, blankets hold onto dust inside their nooks and crannies. Put books and blankets in plastic bins to cut down on collecting dust.

Don’t forget to sweep with your old buddy the broom. Picking up the smaller particles on a daily basis stops the spread of dander throughout the home.
